Privacy policy

Micro Tales collects only the information needed to authenticate listeners, deliver audio, remember purchases, improve recommendations, and keep the service reliable.

Information we collect

We process your Firebase account identifier, chosen sign-in method, language and onboarding preferences, listening activity, likes, dislikes, skips, saves, playback progress, ad interactions, device and app diagnostics, coin purchases, and episode entitlements. Phone numbers and email addresses are used for authentication and account support.

How we use it

We use this information to operate your account, resume listening, rank stories, measure content quality, select appropriate advertising breakpoints, prevent repeated ads, verify Google Play purchases, restore entitlements, diagnose failures, and evaluate product experiments.

Services that process data

Firebase Authentication provides sign-in; Google Cloud stores operational records and analytics; Cloudflare delivers protected audio; PostHog provides product analysis; Google Play processes coin purchases; and Cartesia may generate creator-requested narration drafts. Payment credentials are never received or stored by Micro Tales.

Retention and security

Operational account and entitlement records are retained while your account is active. Analytics are retained only as needed for product measurement and model evaluation. Access to creator and advertising tools is role-restricted, audio delivery uses expiring signed links, and client apps cannot read Firestore directly.

Your choices

You may sign out, change language and notification preferences, or request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. Aggregated or irreversibly anonymized measurements may remain after deletion.
